Not able to buy "Follow Me" or "Flight Plan"

Well, maintenance of the flight plan add-on was about to become a PITA for them due to scoped storage. And since they killed the consumer side of their business, their responses aren't terribly surprising. That's going to bite them in the *** if they ever decide to get back into that space...

Not able to buy "Follow Me" or "Flight Plan"

I also assumed the issue was on Parrot's end. Hopefully you get in touch with a real, competent person and not an unintelligible tech support bot like last time. Please keep us updated!

Not able to buy "Follow Me" or "Flight Plan"

[email protected] is their Chief Sales Officer. You would think they'd at least make prior entitlements available, or offer them for free.

Not able to buy "Follow Me" or "Flight Plan"

I finally received the below response. Obviously it didn't help. I replied and will update if/when they get back to me with something useful. My phones are running Android 11, but I noticed on Android 13 that FreeFlight Pro isn't even available in the Play Store. That seems like a bad sign..

Not able to buy "Follow Me" or "Flight Plan"

I sent an email to their chief sales officer and copied [email protected] (guessed), and I got back an email from [email protected] that a customer support request was opened on my behalf. We'll see if it goes anywhere. Probably would help if a bunch of people email [email protected] and...

Serious Security Problems with the ALL Bebops 2022

I said open with MAC restrictions. Again, your concerns are overblown. Bad actors aren't going to waste their energy on your $150 drone. Do secure your home wifi, though. For MAC filtering, here's the note I wrote for myself (based on the hacking guide). This has worked on 4 different Bebop...

Serious Security Problems with the ALL Bebops 2022

De-auth works by simulating disconnect initiated by the client, using its MAC. MAC filtering works just fine on my Bebops. But you're right, if you fly your drone a lot in the same area and are observed by technically-inclined individuals, your drone may be targeted by these types of attacks...

Serious Security Problems with the ALL Bebops 2022

Anyone who can figure out how to sniff and spoof a MAC can figure out how to de-auth, so your security margin with a password is pretty much nil.

    waypoint altitude

The instructions in the above topic are correct and work flawlessly. I fly my drone in the mountains and routinely run flight plans with waypoints below and (often 2,000 - 3,000 ft.!) above the start point. This is legal as the drone stays under 400 ft. AGL.

Serious Security Problems with the ALL Bebops 2022

Considering the Bebop 2 is pretty much impossible to fly in places with a ton of wifi noise anyway, who cares? I leave mine open with just MAC restrictions for my devices, which won't protect against de-auth, but I'm generally miles away from other people much less populated areas where I fly.
