It looks like a mountain of paperwork, including an exam which can only be taken in person going to specific testing centers, it sounds a bit crazy for leisure flying of very small aircrafts such as the Anafi, unless perhaps I am misunderstanding and the RPC is only a requirement...

I will visit California in the future (travelling from the UK, I just got my flyer and operator ID required over here) and I was hoping to fly my Anafi there. Could anybody confirm if any authorization, insurance or else is required for leisure flying and/or filming?

That's a good question actually. I recently got into scratch building foamies, and it would be a real pain to have to to buy additional electronics just to comply with the coming legislation.. Cost aside, at least until it becomes a niche for Chinese producers, there might not be lightweight...

That is correct. Another way to see it is that dividing your shutter speed by the target frame rate (50 in your example) will give you the ideal ND filter grade to achieve that. So, for instance a shutter speeed of 1600/s divided by 50 will give you 32, so spot on. An exposure time of 1000/s...

Thanks for the technical info! Unfortunately my skills do not got beyond testing non LiPo cells with a meter, so probably I should stay clear of DIY circuit, least I fry myself and the batteries. My three batteries are brand new, one was recharged 5 times, another 3 and the last one only once...

Thanks, that was useful to watch, in that at least now I know that the freewell budget seem to add a colour cast but do not necessarily kill resolution, and I did not see any noticeable defects due to lack of coating. I think the pilot left the setting on auto, or tested in quite different light...
