I frequently closed the app and reopen it during flight, and indeed that doesn't cause a crash. For the logfile: when a crash happens, the standard json log is not created. You have to find the premature logfile based on date and time.

You can find a premature logfile on your smartphone on internal storage / android / data / com.parrot.freeflight6 / files / logs. Unzip it and re-arrange based on the time stamps, and you might be able to find what happened.

Is it possible ( maybe via modded freeflight version) to see the AGL drone height during flight, instead of / besides of the relative height vs starting point? This would be useful for me in hilly terrain..

If you can show a irregular and sudden voltage drop based on the logfile, and a normal way of usage before, the ball is back to the manufacturer.

I sometimes have the same issue. The (non)connection is related to the proper handling of the startup by the drone. In gumball movement == no connection. Drone seems to be stuck in startup routine. I have the feeling that temperature is related to it - taking the drone inside the car often...

I also have this warning more frequently than in the past, also in areas where I didn't have this issue before. It didn't crash the bird, however. Is the latest firmware known to be more susceptible for this?

It happened to me as well. It was switched on when I closed the small metal button of the inner case. I probably pressed a little too hard, and that button is right on top of the power button of the anafi. Since then, I push it very gently. No issue since.

Not so stupid question: the camera view on the right side of the Africa map shows an indoor shot. Can the topicstarter confirm that this issue also occurs when the drone is taken outside?

Can this also be caused by a combination of temperature (5°C) and full power forward + up? Why didn't it cancel autolanding when voltage went up again?
