    Confused about updating

If it's flying fine you are lucky! Don't update! EVER!

    Anafi Flight Plan Query

If any of the waypoints involve a turn of more than a few degrees this is common. If the drone did not reduce speed it would go wide on the next segment. Try adding several waypoints at each turn so that the change in direction is distributed among them. Might work.

Drone to keep deer and wildlife away from crops

Drones don't scare animals until you get within 5 or ten feet of them. Then when it lands due to low battery they'll come over and stomp on it!

A "Follow Me" question regarding altitude... especially with "Orbit"

My experience in a similar situation was a (lucky) crash. I set the Anafi to Follow Me, started out from the saddle down an increasingly narrow and steep jeep road on my motorcycle. I positioned the Anafi 50 feet behind me and 30 feet up. After about 300 yds., as the gully narrowed, the Anafi...

    Teaser NEW PARROT

Yep! They sure have raised the bar for 2001! o_O

    Anafi Propeller Question

I have successfully faired out a nick like that in the trailing edge with a nail file. You need to fair it to twice the diameter of the nick and deep enough so that when inspected with a 10X or more magnifier you can't see any remnants of the nick, it must be a smooth semi circle. That prop is...

Freeflight 6 mod app - With Special Features

I think I've read that but it deserves a re-read. I got the modded app from AnafiPilot to load after un-installing the parrot 6.7.3. No apparent need to copy the obb directory. I have not flown yet but that voltage read-out sure looks nice!

Freeflight 6 mod app - With Special Features

Great! I used to hook them up to the charger and go to bed.......NOT ANY MORE!!!!!

Freeflight 6 mod app - With Special Features

Ah, thanks, I've never done that. Good information. I also used to recharge to 100% after flights because I never knew when I would need the drone again. I won't do that anymore, except when the battery is below 20% and I'll try to remove them from the charger before they reach 70% for short...

Freeflight 6 mod app - With Special Features

The voltage was that showed on the FPV screen. Yes, especially after it had a 20 minute recovery. From now on I'm going to check each battery with a digital multimeter immediately after coming off the charger, just before flight, and just after a flight, whether or not it fell from the sky, and...

Freeflight 6 mod app - With Special Features

I just came across this long thread after coming out of hibernation and since my Anafi started falling out of the sky during the last flight of Fall with around 35% of battery showing, I thought I'd try this mod. However, there is some confusion over just how to install the latest...

    Airplane Mode

When you are flying with the controller, it is communicating with the drone (it has its own WiFi) and the phone just supplies the GPS, the video and a barometer, if it has one. When you are flying with phone only, airplane mode has to be OFF so the phone can link to the drone via WiFi. Although...

Chafing point on the cable insulation

I'd just daub some black silicone or Shoe Goo on it and look at it once in a while. See if you can push it back in to be like the other one.

    FreeFlight 6 Flight Planning

Altitude readout is from ground level at the initial take-off site. I did some surveying of a creek two years ago that gradually climbed into the surrounding hills. I needed to keep the drone at about 150 feet above the creek, which gained 350 feet in a mile and a half. The only way to do this...
