I would think so. Maybe it is simply an app issue when it should be displaying blue instead of red at times. I mean, if a person has the controller antenna facing the drone, it simply should not show red.

In theory, yes, at longer distances. However, I have had connection loss issues at only 200 feet downwind. I think it is something more. I am wondering if the cable from the controller to the phone is causing issues, in my case, at least.

@Dirk_ANAFI Well said. I think the discussion will continue for the forseeable future as long as UAV manufacturers choose wifi as the connection method between the controller and the drone. It is not an optimal choice because of channel overcrowding.

Yes. Correct. I just don't understand why the transmission shows red and blue just seconds apart as the orientation is basically the same. I guess I'm a techie person and would like to know what this visual information is telling me about the transmission quality.
