Hand landing is not difficult but the feeling of scare.
At the end of the flight keep the drone a little high in the air, then push the landing button in the controller, when drone is dropping, now lowering your body and gently moving your palm under the drone just before it touching the ground, the drone will land and motors stopped, you don't need to grab the drone flipping and force the motors to stop.
You can practice with putting on the propeller guards in the beginning, you will feel more comfortable when you put the palm under the drone, the palm is hard enough to sense the ultrasonic sensor.
I normally use landing pad for taking off and hand landing at the end of the flight.
