Anafi Loses Connection After 100 ft. Need help with GPS Please !

Hello all,

Drone: Anafi Thermal.
Sky Controller 3 - Model MPP3
iPhone 8 - iOS 16.2
Freeflight 6v6.7.5

I have an Anafi Thermal drone. I have read the manual (which isn’t great)

I am able to use the controller and the drone gets to about 98ft and then the free flight software
Tells me that the connection is lost.
This does not surprise me as it is using the wifi.

The free flight software pinpoints my location on a map no problem.

The manual states to use the GPS, I need to connect the Anafi via the wifi.

Forgive me for being stupid, but connecting my phone to the Anafi via wifi will still only give me
A range of 100 feet surely ?

My questions are:


I) How can I get the Anafi drone to cover a larger distance?

ii) Do I have to connect the Anafi to my iPhone network so I can fly greater distances?

iii) Is there a step by step guide somewhere other than the user manual ?

Sorry for the rather basic questions… newbie here.

Hello again.
I figured it out.
1. I had 'Geocage' on in FreeFight 6.
2. I also took my iPhone out of it's protective case.

You need to buy a sky controller 3.
