So I have gotten pretty decent control ranges of the bebop 2 and power edition with both the 2p a 2 skycontroller. But this is the thing. I can fly it like a km away but cannot connect stably beyond 200m high. Does Wi-Fi travel along ground better than into the sky? Honestly confused why I can not control the drone higher than 200m. Any help would be gladly apreciated

Thanks but sadly I am aware the above fact. I have tried both the skycontroller 2 and 2p both with more or less same limits.

Not only the Skycontroller, also the Drone itself has a directional Antennasystem.
And also be aware, that the higher the Drone is, the more other Signals does it collect.
It's not only a Question of Signal Strength, but also of Signal to „Noise“ Ratio, including Intermodulation.
