Editing Footage

Hello fellow pilots. I edit with a software called Hitfilm Express (2019 to be specific). I've been stuck on a couple of edits of my footage and I would like to know if anyone actually edits their footage with anything. I love the software that I use (not a subscription).
I'm basically trying to use the technique where I have a line drawn for a road in my video recordings. By any chance, does anybody even know what the type of edit is called?
I've done tracking of some landscape within the footage but when it comes down to making the lines highlight the important roads, seems I cannot do it correctly. Does anybody know what this technique or procedure is actually called? Yes I am Using the Parrot ANAFI 4K for flights and recordings. RAW format at 4K with polarized filters.

I use Davinci Resolve FREE edition.....(Indiana Jones map animation) not sure if this effect is what you mean...

If you are look8ng to pull the video flight metadata, then there are a # of video apps to use. I have long used DasHWare. I like it for the level of control I have in setting up gauges. I have also use DashCam Viewer. I suggest you explore the DJI forums for or suggestions.

Sorry for the late reply guys. I like the responses. Crossrich, I was on the DJI forums prior to looking for assistance. But when you talk about metadata, are you referring to the log files that the Anafi creates with each flight?
I think I can be creative with the suggestions that you guys provided. I'll upload a clip of an example later tonight with more detail of what I'm trying to do. Some of the tracking techniques may help.

Basically I'm trying to outline the road in the video and have it stay in sync with the road. I'm putting a pin on the road itself to show the name of the road and to show the major highway in the distance. I have a screen shot put in as well so you can understand what I'm trying to do.

I rendered this clip downscaling it from 4k. Please bare with the quality, its google drive there's only so much downscaling and compression you can do before the video is unusable.
