I'm struggling with my neck strap

If I have the strap mount on my Skycontroller 2 to the top the strap is across the screen. If I have it to the bottom it tips the tablet over so it is upside down. I have a riffle strap I would like to use but I don't really want to start drilling holes🤔
What are you all doing?
