Newby with older Parrot AR.Drone

So was out garage sailing and picked up a "first edition?" Parrot AR.Drone (model PF721003SE) and am now looking for all the "beginner" information on this thing to see if I can actually get it flying. I need to find the download for my smart phone. Have new batteries ordered. Hope it's still viable for flyable and not tooooooo far out of date. Haven't located a website for this original model, but will keep looking. ANY HELP would be appreciated.

Fly them way out in the country. Worse than bebops. Slightly worse than AR Drone 2. They fly well but they have an unsecured open connection for piloting control and video stream, with no way to secure them. NOT GOOD.
