Im guessing you may have to have at least location on when programming in the field. If you program from home before you get there you just need to connect to say go from freeflight...if using a controller yes im guessing as long as freeflight is in the loop, if from just phone maybe no....just guessing...

I think one should always turn on airplane mode on your phone. That way you can prevent calls comming in.
When connected to the controller nothing extra has to be done. When you use only your phone, turn on the Wifi again which has been turned off by the Airplane mode. Simple as that.
Don't forget afterwards to turn off Airplane mode or you won't get any calls.

I think if you do this it doesn’t show on your screen how far away or it’s home location? I’m not sure. I tried it but can’t remember why I don’t do it anymore.

Instead I turn on “do not disturb” and no problem.
