loved it, reminds of the training area I (we) did with SAS back in the 90's when stationed at Mildenhall/Lakenheath. Loved the strafing run you did on yourself. Well done.

Cheers Dash! There is an Army barracks in Capel Curig and my dad remembers going on training "walks" when he was in the Army!

I thinking of going up around them parts in the next few months - any tips, also what kind of AGL are you flying to get that perspective?

Cheers! The only tips i've got are watch the wind speed. I've found it can be quite windy in Snowdonia even on the low levels but you do get good days, even on the top of the mountains:


AGL kind of goes out of the window due to the topography of the land but be aware of your auto RTH height if flying down and around valleys!
