Future new buyer, which version should I prefer?
I don't care about fpv.
But I'm curious if the FPV version is improved and better than the original version.
Is it worth it or are there no differences?

The only difference is improved motor arms. They are stronger now on the FPV and Thermal versions which is a plus to have.

Thanks for your answer.
I know the specific video.
But he talks about anafi thermal.
This is the "pro" version
Parrot Anafi FPV & Thermal have the same dimensions but not the same quality of materials.
(i' m not sure about that. in uk parrot's site, in spareparts the arm kit is the same)

I think with the new dimensions, the drone's behavior is completely different.
So far I haven't found any tests between the 2 drones to verify if this is a serious improvement or not.
And if it's worth buying the FPV vs original

I am not aware of any differences in quality of materials between the FPV and the Thermal. I also don't believe that there is any significant difference between the original and the FPV in flying qualities. The same propellers are in exactly the same place, it is just that the legs don't have the projections beyond the props like the original. The big difference is the beefier legs which are definitely stronger and resist twisting better.

Since I already own the original, it doesn't make much sense to sell it and buy the FPV, which I have no use for, just for the stronger legs. However, in your case, it is a tough decision. Essentially you are paying an extra $100 just for the stronger legs since you won't use the goggles. Looking at all the busted legs on this forum over the last 6 months I would be sorely tempted to do exactly that, particularly if you are a new pilot.

Thanks for your suggestions.
I'm the last one to talk about fpv.
Theoretically speaks I think that apart from the differences in the legs, there has to be a difference in both the behavior of the motors and the overall navigation behavior.
The use of FPV probably requires a faster response, but connectivity also seems to improve.
I will probably buy this version. (waiting until Black Friday)

I think the rewrite of the software they did [FF6] to incorporate the FPV options, will possibly hold some tweaks in order to improve the response times, similar way to how they added other options.

I dont believe that in the current market, Parrot would spend significant funds getting different tooling setup for each model. Yes they have improved the legs, but I feel sure that the rest will be "Common Parts" across the range, otherwise think of the spares they are going to have to carry for warranty purposes, and then bringing in different handling processes for their teams to ensure that if someone sends in an FPV, they dont get the motors or other parts of the Thermal.

I think with the Thermal and FPV, they realised where their improvements in design could be, and some of that will quiet possibly been based on the sort of "damage returns" they had. I,E many of the returns where because of damaged legs.

I think like everyone else in business these days, they have to ensure that they remain profitable.

Of course this is all my own thoughts........ and I could be totally barking up the wrong tree!!

Those of us who jumped in day 1 and purchased the Parrot Anafi when it came out..... were the Guinea Pigs :-)

There are hardware improvements inside? I mean, on circuit boards or anything else, or it's just the new chassis ?

ANAFI Thermal launched: On April 15, 2019, Parrot presented the Parrot ANAFI Thermal, an all-in-one drone thermal-imaging solution (drone + sensor + software) for professionals. This solution is based on the lightweight, easy-to-use and high-performance ANAFI drone platform, optimized for professionals. (Official press release)

Parrot now claims 26 minutes flying time from on a single charge; that's up one minute from the last version. (from Wired)

Only a comparison test between the two versions could tell us if there are differences and what they are.

Also motors seems better embeeded on brackets
