Hey all

Got a friend with a Bebop 2, both batteries are dead and non responsive.
I suspect the cells are dead as its a few years old now.

I am looking at repacking the batteries with replacement Lipos because complete replacement batteries are far and few between in South Africa.

Does anyone know what the OEM battery dimensions are?
Any recommendations of a 3S battery that will fit it the original housing while maintaining capacity?

We want to keep it looking as original as possible

There is a youtuber Solaris8x86, he is in Hong Kong and is a guru in that area.

I’ve watched some of his Bebop 2 videos and his approach is meticulous and quite groundbreaking. Heck he should be working for Parrot as product development VP or something.

As usual, thise are electrical parts and extreme caution must be excersiced

as far as 3rd party batteries, I bought some on Amazon USA. They are fine.
Brand DZH and several users here have recommended them.
I still have my parrots original that I keep using EVpeak chargers.

There is a battery used on RC trucks called a "Shorty" comes in its own plastic case they may deserve some experimenting with. Same 11.4v but with a conventional balance cable.🤔

Just seen a video of the standard case with 3x 18650's in. Just weighed my 3000mAh LG's and the 18650's come in at 135g and the standard battery at 217g.
