In case this is useful for someone: I was gifted an old Parrot Bebop Drone v2.0 and I tried to use it with iPhone 15 to no avail. The current FreeFlight 3 app only directs users to use FreeFlight pro. Unfortunately the FreeFlight pro is not able to connect with the Bebop WiFi.
The trick was to use my old iPhone 7 with a new Apple account. Apple did not allow to use the same iPhone 15 account on the old iPhone 7. Setting up a new account with a different email enabled the iPhone 7 to connect with App Store and download FreeFlight pro. This upgraded the Bebop firmware to 4.0 and can fly the drone.
The underlying issue and the reason for Parrot's failure to upgrade is most likely WiFi security upgrades introduced on newer iPhones.
