I'm in Billings and fly a Parrot Anafi, mostly open country outside town. With cold weather settling in, I'm weighing whether to keep flying through winter or put the drone away until spring. What I've read online suggests battery capacity drops noticeably in low temperatures and that props and gimbal can get stiff, but I haven't seen much from people flying Parrot gear in real cold. My worry is not just shorter flights but whether repeated cold exposure can shorten battery life over time, and whether I should warm packs before heading out or just accept shorter sessions. I also wonder about condensation when bringing the Anafi back into a warm house. I'm not looking to push limits, just safe local flights. If you fly your Parrot in sub-freezing conditions, what precautions do you take with batteries, storage and gimbal care?
I keep coming back to battery care in the cold for the Anafi, and I'm still unsure whether warming packs before heading out is worth the hassle or just a habit.
