2023 May 22 ..For the Parrot Minidrones you can use the Freeflight Mini app, which is still downloadable.
A good reason to keep old phones.2023 May 22 ..
The parrot bebop 2 is discontinued , so i guess i don't get to fly my drone anymore with my new phone.
App is discontinued as well & not firmware compatable.
Thanks Parrot corporation for taking my hard earned money & tossing it in the garbage
( NEVER BUYING ANOTHER PARROT DRONE EVER.!! )
Apk is here:You could download the apk, search on Google. Then install it on an phone with Android 9 (older will probably work too). If you want to use it with a newer Android version, install the apk and copy the folders "data/com.parrot.freeflight3" and "obb/com.parrot.freeflight3" from the Android 9 phone to the newer phone.
"got an older phone for over $100 - rip off.Went and retrieved my Bebop 2 FPV from trash bin.

My drone was a bit nasty with magots and garbage juice.

Well said. Forgot about that automatic wifi switching for best connection in the phones. Kind of makes me aware of the amount of extra bloat that phone companies stuff in phones these days to make stuff work rather than just optimize the software better. Tech Debt a thing in phones now which is pretty bad... I don't miss dev for this reason. In case it helps (it worked for me simply).
I have a Parrot Minidrone Jumping Race Max, I squeezed my brain searching for Freeflight3 (old version), but then I found that it was long ago updated in favor of Freeflight Jumping. At beginning the new app only showed and installed on old android versions 4.x nightmare (*), but after that suddenly I could install the app, simply and directly, into a Moto G4 with Android 7.0 perfectly well from the same link of the Play Store (I checked app version in google play is 3.10.2 on both). It was finally easier than I thought.
Foot notes:
- If it won't let you install the app in your newer android then you can try downloading the APK itself into your newer phone and run it (use evozi or a similar downloader). Remember to enable in Android the unknown sources to allow external installations.
- I can also find the Freeflight Jumping app in the App Store of Apple available for download in iPhone 13 with iOs 16.6.
- (*) for this nightmare process, used a Galaxy S4 downgraded to Android 4.4.2, manually updating the Play Store to 33-1-16, because it's now out of support.
- No, I didn't try Freeflight Mini app mentioned in this thread, because I arrived here too late.
Once installed, in order to make it work it was very necessary to read the tips in the "Setting > Network" section of the minidrone manual (link to Parrot's Minidrone manuals web site). When powering on, I checked if the leds blinked 2 or 5 times (meaning 2,4 or 5 GHz band). NOTICE that most modern smart phones will DROP the WiFi connection from the drone if it has no internet (indeed it doesn't) in order to switch to another network with better internet (so firstly you need to disable this automatization in your phones WiFi advanced settings). Then I simply connected to the drone's WiFi and the app picked up the drone controls perfectly, and had a while of fun (flawless).
thank you so much for posting and uploading this!!!!To safe you the hassle I've uploaded the files to make version v5.2.7 to work.
Install the apk, then extract the zip file and copy the folder "com.parrot.freeflight3" to "Android/obb/"
