Cannot find freeflight 3 app anymore on google store how can I start the drone

There is a way to install FreeFlight Pro 5.2.7 on newer Android phones & tablets (10+)
I've tested this method on Android 10,12, and 13.
Download the files in the previous post then use the link below to walk you through how to move the com.parrot.freeflight3 folder to the /Android/obb folder.

To safe you the hassle I've uploaded the files to make version v5.2.7 to work.
Install the apk, then extract the zip file and copy the folder "com.parrot.freeflight3" to "Android/obb/"

I downloaded everything, extracted "com.parrot.freeflight3", but when I try to copy it to Android/obb/ it says "Couldn't copy file"

Does anyone know if it still works?
I tried following the steps, but the app doesn't connect, The drone, connected to the controller with a cable, flies but I can't connect it to the app, which says "connection problems".
I'm on a Samsung a25 with Android 14

So this worked for me (kinda). I have a Pixel 7 and a Mambo drone. I use it with the Flypad controller. I can connect to the Flypad via bluetooth from my phone, however the button mapping function does not work at all.

Apk is here:
Hi, using Windows 10 explorer, I can't find the files you mentioned that should show on the older Samsung phone that still works with my drone. You mentioned being able to take 2 parrot files from the old phone and install them on my newer phone. I'd like to be able to use my newer Samsung phone with the Bebop 2. Thanks

You could download the apk, search on Google. Then install it on an phone with Android 9 (older will probably work too). If you want to use it with a newer Android version, install the apk and copy the folders "data/com.parrot.freeflight3" and "obb/com.parrot.freeflight3" from the Android 9 phone to the newer phone.
I'm not seeing these folders on the LG moto Android phone ....can you please assist me ? Thanks

I have my Google pixel 6 running latest Android 14 using free flight 5 aptoid for android or older phone or apple
What version of free flight 5 if I can ask? Do you have full functionality with your drone? I can install the program...just cannot connect to the drone at all.

I have a Google pixel 8 pro and when trying to copy or move com.parrot.freeflight3 to the Android/obb/ folder I keep getting the error '1 file could not be copied', is there something I need to do to permit copying to this folder please?

Perhaps it works with another file manager, but probably easier via a pc

Parrot corporarion returned my email complaint about removing my purchased bebop 2 from flight forever & basically told me thats it. You cannot fly FPV anymore.?? I mean why should they care. We are all a purchase # on file & reached the end of our life cycle.

Seeing i've only been given a few more years to live after my masive heart attack , where yes i was dead for 10min. Flying FPV IS ALL I HAVE TO ESCAPE THIS TORMENT. But no, Parrot insist i cannot fly FPV with there product anymore. Its now a shelf decoration , wondering if i should just burn the Parrot Bebop 2 & toss in a jar on the shelf. I will join it there in few years.

-- Here is Parrots response to my email to them.

Dear Jeremy,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your Parrot Bebop 2 drone and expressing your disappointment. We understand your frustration with the discontinuation of the product, as well as the compatibility issues with the firmware and the app.

We would like to inform you that the Parrot Bebop 2 has reached the end of its lifecycle and is now considered a legacy product. As a result, we no longer provide active support or updates for this particular model. This means that compatibility issues with new devices, such as your new phone, cannot be resolved through firmware updates or app improvements.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Unfortunately, since the product is no longer supported, we are unable to provide a replacement or fix the compatibility issues you are experiencing. We recommend considering alternative drone options available in the market that meet your requirements for flight and compatibility with your new phone.

We understand that this may not be the ideal solution for you, and we regret any disappointment or inconvenience caused. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Hey, you install free flight pro on your new android device. You just have to copy the obb folder. 😉
