Connection issues

I am a teacher that has aviation as apart of my curriculum. I have 2 parrot mambo drones that wont connect with the Flypads.

Both have updated firmware.

I can connect them to my phone, the transmitter/flypad WILL control the drone when connected through the phone. I can then (with the drone and the flypad transmitter still on and connected to each other) turn off my bluetooth and exit out of freeflight mini and the flypad transmitter WILL still control the drone.

But once I turn off the drone and flypad transmitter they wont connect to each other on their own. I have to go through the app every time.

Any ideas?

I assume you are talking about Mambo FPV.
Mambo Fly & Mission (without FPV cam) connect to the Flypad with BT.
Try this without smartphone first.
If they do not connect try to reset the drone and try again.
