DJI placed on Commerce Department Entity List

DJI placed on Entity List today. Not a death blow to US sales, but certainly a significant gut punch for time being.

Perhaps an opening for Parrott, Skydio*, etc?

Thoughts?

As far as I am aware the restrictions are on US technology and hardware being sold to DJI. It does not appear to limit the sales of DJI drones in the USA.

Huwei's 5G infrastructure components were placed on same restrictions (rightfully so) a few years ago and the results have been significant. The restrictions were made even tighter on the 2020 list as they [Huwei] were caught circumventing a few of the prior restrictions as well.

I suspect this could put some headwinds in front of DJI for the time being.

Who knows if it leads to meaningful impact(s) as seen with Huwei.
