Hi

I made such a handle for the controller. How do you like it?
For those interested I attach a stl file. for 3D printing on google disk.

You may want to consider putting some legs at the rear as I did to stop the weight of the phone causing the USB lead plug to touch the ground and over stress the USB socket.

Is there anything stopping the aluminium piece rotating and hitting the mount and/or the phone screen if the controller is dropped?

Yes, I saw your project. I think they'll all be similar.

I have to make some extra legs from behind.

The plastic element is constructed in a wedge on the mounting. The wedge also has an incision on the aluminum element.
It doesn't move, they both block each other.
