Parrot slashes 100 jobs, cuts price of Anafi to pick up holiday sales

Not a good sign for Parrot.

Despite positive reviews of the Anafi, sales at the French drone-maker Parrot have dropped by 40% compared to the same quarter last year. The company has reacted by announcing that it will cut 100 jobs. The market responded to the news by cutting the value of the French drone maker in half on the Paris stock exchange.

The article said Parrot cut the jobs in the International Marketing team. Other UAV companies have done this in the past. Yuneec and Autel Robotics did this a couple of years ago to help their companies move forward. Having a marketing team is important but not as important as R&D.
They seem committed to rebuilding the company so lets hope things improve for them in 2019.
