Recovering video that is in 'TMP' format

I just brought my ANAFI to Mexico for a Canyoneering trip in what many consider the best canyons in the world. Unfortunately the best footage with a huge waterfall rappel, my drone hit a tree and fell into the water. I recovered the drone and SD card, but the video of those minutes has a '.TMP' extension. It is a couple of gigs in size and I tried renaming it to .MP4 to play it with VLC, but it won't. Anyone know how to reconstruct the video? The footage would be incredible if I can get it to play.

The easiest way would be to start a short video and stop it to close off the one you want but I am guessing the Anafi is unable to do that because of water damage is that correct?

Or you could try to repair it with this.

Normally just powering the aircraft up again should detect the unfinished file and fix it. Supposing the aircraft is in a state where you can power it on safely obviously.
