Similar to Anafi but not DJI?

Has anyone checked out the Skydio 2? I’ve checked the Owners Manual and their support site, but haven’t found anything about built in flight restrictions. All mention of that topic is about personal responsibility and using B4Ufly. As an aside, it uses the Anafi’s controller, though with custom...

    Anafi on CBS Sunday Morning

Just spotted an Anafi being used to map the interior of Notre Dame after the fire. You can see it at the 5m 21s mark. Looks like a standard consumer model, maybe a thermal, there’s just a couple frames where you can kind of make out the camera module at the front. Reconstructing Notre Dame...

    "Photo Of The Day"

A 360 sphere of Big Spring Park in Huntsville taken late March, before things started turning green. Also shows the Embassy Suites, Von Braun Center, and some of the new construction (hotels, apartments, and in the distance to the NW, Constellation.)

    Skycontroller 3 Tablet Mounts

The strap-and-hook setup looks uber-simple and quite satisfactory! Where did you find that strap? Anyone try this mount? It’s listed for DJI gear, but it sure looks universal enough to work with a SkyController.

Anyone bought a refurbished unit from Amazon /Windsor?

I got a basic model from Windsor for $360 as a Christmas present for myself. Not a problem with anything and now have 27 flights on it. Only problem is I’ve probably come close to spending at least half as much again on accessories. So far! ;) Enjoy your Anafi!

    "Photo Of The Day"

Here’s the other side of the Downtown Library Branch, with the Huntsville Hospital district behind, and Monte Sano and Green Mountain as a backdrop at sunset.

    "Photo Of The Day"

Another library photo, this one showing the Downtown library in Huntsville, the new Councill Park, and Big Spring Park beyond the hotels towards the city center of Huntsville, taken at sunset yesterday (first day in a week where the wind dropped below 10MPH.) Yeah, there’s a reason they call it...

    3D prints

I got my guard today -- perfect fit and the price was right! Trying to decide if I need prop guards or the gimbal lock for my second allowed print job this month... ;)

    New North Huntsville library

Ok, here's my first video, a quick look at the new North Huntsville Branch library being built in, you guessed it, North Huntsville. (That's in Alabama.) It's a really nice upgrade from the original nearby library, and a nice upgrade to the foundational building on the site. Enough talk, here's...

    3D prints

Right now, there are limits on job size, though the joystick guard I chose was like 1% of the max file size. All jobs are printed in PLA, and there is no charge, at least at our library. YMMV, but even if your library charges for it, remember they aren’t in it for the profit, just to cover their...

    3D prints

Just a heads-up -- check your local library to see if they are offering 3D printing services. Some libraries (like my local one, Huntsville-Madison County Public Library) are even offering free curbside pickup of printouts. I went to Thingiverse and there are quite a few different design models...

    "Photo Of The Day"

First post in this thread! Our house is below the tree line, so we usually only see the really bright sunsets from home. Yesterday was my first day out with my Anafi, and on one of my last flights of the day, I got this shot to prove that sunsets indeed do happen, even if we can’t see them.

    Checking in from N. AL

It’s a win! Received it yesterday and did a very brief indoor test flight. All systems go, and I am thrilled with how stable and quiet it is. Thanks for the welcome!

    Checking in from N. AL

Hi all, real happy to be here! Okay, yeah, I’ve been here for a while, I’ve actually had a Parrot AR.Drone since they first came out in what, 2010? And yes, it still flies. But flying it is a chore, with poor altitude stability, no geolocation, and very limited WiFi range. All that for...
