Anafi lost in the woods, did not return from a mission

Amazon has (of had) some renewed units for $415. That's what I did. That's for the whole kit.

    Flight Data

Looks like we have another contestant for the Parrot Support obstacle course. Good luck!

Sad Day - Lost Anafi USA

I suspect they are giving you the run around like they did me. Today I got an email had been resolved! They rejected my case because they couldn't find my flight data. This despite me providing everything on earth that they asked for. I even sent them the json file. They said "we don't accept...

Now my turn to drop from the sky! At last.

If mine drops again, I'm not even going to pick it up.

Tracking other persons / home-point questions

It is possible to use follow me to track something else by using a separate gps device (like a garmin glo) along with an ios tablet. Just have the target wear the gps Only problem is range is limited to bluetooth, so the tablet and the target can't get very far apart.

    Yaw Instability

Is it just me or has the yaw become unstable? The old bebop 1 was infamous for getting kicked sideways while traveling fast into a crosswind. The bebop 2 fixed that. It was never a problem with the anafi until these firmware updates. Here lately I'm getting kicked sideways a lot. Anybody else?

    ANAFI 1.7.3, ANAFI THERMAL 1.7.3, ANAFI USA 1.7.4, FREEFLIGHT 6.7.0 (IOS & ANDROID), SKYCONTROLLER3 1.7.0

I upgraded to 1.6.8 and immediately sent it on the same rigorous flight plan I always do and it performed with flying colors. Most notable was the battery percentage. All I have left is one very high mileage battery and it showed 100% for the first 30 seconds and finished the 12 minute flight...

    ANAFI 1.7.3, ANAFI THERMAL 1.7.3, ANAFI USA 1.7.4, FREEFLIGHT 6.7.0 (IOS & ANDROID), SKYCONTROLLER3 1.7.0

Good news if you ask me. Here's your release notes: "Improved flight stability". Translation- Doesn't fall out of the sky as much.

    I don't think 1.6.7 is safe either

Your flight is the typical fall out of the sky failure experienced by a growing number of Anafi pilots. I went through Parrot Support on their website. They responded quick enough (a day or 2). I wasn't asked to fill out any form, just answer about seven questions and supply screenshots and...

Anafi Parrot dropping out of the sky.

Sorry about your fall. I've had 3 of then in one month. As far as the battery, the power button is really a hinged flap with a fixed pushrod on the bottom that acts on the micro switch below. There is a ledge all around the flap where debris can collect and prevent the flap from returning all...

All four Anafi Smart Battery LEDs blinking red in sync

Four red LEDs blinking in red means it is bricked. The cells are probably fine. The parrot firmware has decided to call a halt.

    Anafi Antenna Mods

Hello Jasper. In response to your inquiry from the other post, that set up has long been discarded and I don't have any photos of it, but it was all off the shelf hardware from Amazon. Elevating the antenna is almost always good but you'll need low loss coax and there is the length mismatch...

    Anafi Battery Problem - On/Off Button Stuck/Sticky

That sounds like the best plan.

Help me Hack my Anafi Antennas!

If you fast forward to the end of this video, you can see my external antennas. One is a big panel antenna sitting on the dash and the other is a tall mast type mounted outside. They were powered by an Amped Wireless SR10000 wifi extender. I used this set up with just a tablet, no controller...

    Anafi Battery Problem - On/Off Button Stuck/Sticky

One of my batteries became like that after a 1.6.7 firmware related crash. I think it from a poorly designed and/or executed on off mechanism. What happens is any debris present around the button falls in and prevents the push lever from returning all the way. Once the debris gets its foot in...
