Anafi SD Card and MacBook Pro--Suggestions?

32GB SanDisk card (the one GoPro recommends)

If you format the card (FAT32) in your Mac, it is unreadable in ANAFI

ANAFI tells you it needs to be formatted to FAT32, can be done in the app.

But once formatted in ANAFI, this SD is unreadable in MacBook Pro!


What is the best trick to make sure SD cards can pass back and forth between Mac and ANAFI?

It seems to be a common problem and I wish I had a good answer for you. Some say to format in the Mac as a EXfat and then format again in the Anafi as Fat32. I have seen people use this little program and have good results after. Sorry I run windows and not much help for Mac users.

Have you tried this method to get your media?

"Direct media retrieval (drone to computer)
You can also retrieve your media directly from Anafi, without extracting the microSD card.
Use the enclosed USB-A to USB-C cable to connect the drone (USB-C) to a USB-A port of your computer. Power on. Anafi mounts as any other external drive: copy your media from the DCIM/100MEDIA directory to your computer’s hard drive.
When you are done managing your media, eject as any other external drive.
When plugged in to a computer and powered on, Anafi’s battery discharges itself. This means you must recharge your smart battery after you have retrieved your media, even if it was fully charged when you began the procedure.

I always format through FF6 before every flight and remove the card after every flight.

I swap out cards after every flight so I never loose the prior flight.

Using the macbook pro format didn't work for me either.

Yes, tried that (plugging ANAFI into MacBook Pro), got the same "unreadable" error.
