IPAD and Parrot Bebop

Hi all...popping over from the Phantom site with a question...My father in law has a Bebop 2 and an older Ipad that does not support the Parrot app...I am getting him a new ipad so my question is does it need to have mobile internet access or can I get him the standard Ipad...thanks to all who reply

You don't need mobile internet on the iPad, just make sure it can run the latest IOS from apple and you'll be ok...

All you need is GPS and Wifi.
