Ok, How long before the aftermarket batteries show up?

I'm not wild about spending $100 for a battery that should cost $25. I hope the Anafi doesn't check for authenticity.

Pretty sure it does but the Dev team will come out with something if they ever get their hands on the SDK.

I think they are smart batteries and of course must have buck/boost circuits in them to charge from 5 to 12volts which must push up the cost a little.

With a clone battery making a claim when if it falls out of the sky will be more interesting.
