Hi,
New pilot getting to know a lightly used Bebop2, and I have a reconnection question that I have not been able to find a definitive answer. This is a suburban street with lots of wifi signals. I am getting poor video range (maybe 400-500 ft before video stops on phone) and total range of maybe 600-800 ft before drone no longer responds. When this happens, the drone will return to home automatically sorta close to the starting position (but sometimes across the street). So far it has crashed into power line and a tree because no matter what I have tried, I cannot get the skycontroller 2 to reconnect to the drone until it has almost completely finished the RTH and is either hovering or just a few feet away from hovering.
In a suburban environment, does your skycontroller 2 automatically reconnect successfully when the drone is still at altitude (before it comes down and hovers)?
Situation:
I have upgraded to latest firmware, and reset drone a couple times with no improvement.
Using Skycontroller2 and Iphone with wifi shut off.
Manually selected 2.4GHz channel 6 as best of a crowded suburban environment, also tried other 2.4 GHz bands with no improvement
Set a wifi password with no improvement.
I have tried pressing the power button on skycontroller and connect in freeflight pro app with no improvement
Thanks,
Frank
