Skycontroller 2 dual 4w amp mod and antenna questions

Has anyone done this yet? Just wanted some input on types of antenna is omni directional ok or should I try and get some directional patch antenna or? Also has anyone installed an amp onboard their drone?

I have never seen this modification before. I went with the Skyshit booster kit and have good luck with it

How much was your kit Mike and where did you purchase it? I got these on ebay some dude had used them for a mavic with good luck he said... I havent tried it yet, had some issues with my wiring last night... power that is... had one hooked up and got about 2 bars of signal when I walked my drone about 50 feet away and locked it in a metal tool cabinet... excited to try its maiden voyage today!
