Anafi Parrot dropping out of the sky

I'd say that guessing is good enough here.
About 70, did you use them gentle or mostly/often "all in"?
no I'm a person who work gently, so mostly they didn't fly 15min a flight and my material is like gold for me ;)

is this the file to loud in it: 670CAF9D42B0FAC90C033F33FD193399.json.gz
Is my first time I use this kind of software ;)
That appears to be an archive. If you dearchive it you should get a file with just .json at the end. If you open it in a text editor you should be able to read parts of it.

copy, who on this forum is a specialist in analyzing this files? I can't upload them generally but can give it to a specialist..

Got an answer from the specialist, i hope Parrot take his responsability on this warranty claim.

“It looks just like the other cases where we suspect a bug in battery Firmware:
Sudden end of the log file mid-air at 18m height and 73m away from you
No alerts (alert state Always Zero)
WiFi Signal is good, GPS lock all the time.
The battery is poor at the end where most of the power was demanded due to climbing (see picture). But 22% should be enough to come back and land.

Facit: Another case of a long list of those crashes.”

Update on Anafi warranty claim for "dropping out of the sky" incident that occurred on April 28, 2020. Parrott has advised they will honor my warranty claim and will send a new Anafi shortly.

I don't see any new posts on the fall-from-sky problem --- does this mean that the new firmware updates have solved the problem?

Has anyone experience this problem with the new firmware updates installed?

Hi! Been lurking this post a while, but never felt compelled to hop in until today!
I too had my Anafi just fall out of the sky. 90% battery. Screen just went black and my drone fell from about 70ft onto our roof, destroyed. I had JUST installed the firmware update and took it up to test it out.
This happened March 22nd. First, replacement denied due to being 1 month past US Warranty of 1 year. I didn't let it go, since this forum is clearly evidence this was their bad. It was escalated to head office, and finally received notice today, June 15th, that it was denied by the bigwigs.
Pretty unfortunate. That new Air 2 is looking pretty enticing.

Same thing happened to me today. I am very frustrated and angry. Battery level was 40% clear weather and drone was just 30 meters away from me and 8-9meters high. Motors just stopped and it felled down like a stone. The camera is giving a blurry image so it must have broken something in it. Also the drone has many scratches. I am really worried about it at I bought it from eBay on February 2019. Also I only have done 26flights light use. Hopefully they will not ignore my issue. Btw it seems a bit common issue with anafis

What I believe happens is that the batteries are not used for months and stored below 40% charge.
Also, they are not charged to 100% a few hours before the flight but rather one or more days in advance.

that appears to be the most common failure. On Facebook and myself, there are people with 100s of flights and 10s of hours being in the sky, without a single error

So what exactly are you trying to say I don't get your point? On a small internet search I found many many falls from the sky with anafis so if it didn't happened to you yet it doesn't mean it can not happen

To be honest it would seem Parrot no longer give a **** about us "mugs" who bought into the Anafi system. Would seem we were only the test bed for the bigger fish they had to fry to get them on the ladder with lucrative government contracts. Now that they have those, the are sticking 2 fingers up at us.

But they need to be very careful, Karma has a nasty habit of biting you in the *** when you upset the rhythm of things.

not taking care of the batteries is what causes 70% of the crashes

my batteries are taken very good care..always stored properly and also fully charged to 100% BEFORE flying at the same DAY ..but also if i was charging them the day before where exactly is saying on the user manual that the batteries HAVE to be charged exactly the same day of flight?? If a battery develops a fault-issue again is not my concern parrot should look at the issue., and for me for a premium parrot drone to just switch off and fall off the sky is a very serious matter. for you it might not be so stop making any assumptions to play it good with parrot

never said you were part of the 70%

Also if you are going to be crashing your drone like some people on this forum, at least have screen recording on at all times

Yes you are absolutely right. I should have been more careful and have screen recording on since for anafi drones is very often to fall like rocks. Maybe they are doing it for fun ? Who knows

it is your insurance in case it would actually drop out of the sky. It means parrot will send you a brand new one

It is not for fun, it is to analyse your flight yourself afterwards as well.

After 2 weeks of exchanging emails with parrot and asking several things here is how my situation concluded
I bought the drone from ebay it came brand new sealed. The purchase was made on March 2019. Parrot had been asking me repeatetly for the original receipt. I have send them the prove of payment from PayPal and also the eBay transaction with a verification email by eBay. However I should have asked for the original receipt from the seller something I was not aware off.
So parrot although I had all the proves but not the original receipt they decided they can NOT replace the drone even though the 2 years warranty haven't passed. I replied ok fair point since it was my fault that I didn't ask for the original receipt back then. BUT since the drone fell off the sky with out any reason can I send the drone to you to examine what has caused the crash and also give me a repair cost to repair it and of course I will pay for the postage
Parrot simple replied " we are sorry but our repair facility has been closed down a few months ago so we can not do s thing about it"
This is an answer from a company that wants to be called serious in the drone industry. My advice stay away from parrot I will never buy anything from them again

Sorry for your loss but no receipt is fair even if you bought it “new”, it has to do with the store paying for the repair
