Freeflight 6 mod app - With Special Features

You wont need to register again, just use existing login
Beforehand I used login with "google" now modded version does not let me, i JUST created new account with my email.

1. How do I know if modded version is all set correctly? and indeed now applied modded settings? anything to see from interface/UI perspective?

2. GeoCage features will remain work as before? max 2.5 miles correct? I see its the same limit as before modding in settings.

3. Also now with modded I see GPS signs red at the top, its normal? (testing at home, no flight yet)

4. I installed the latest mod: FF6_6_7_6_FCC_SE_BATTERY.apk

5. The drone continue to use GPS tracking self orientation even with this MOD, correct?

6. Wifi settings, should I select 2.4 or 5? anything else I need set?

Thanks!

Everything will operate exactly the same as the non-modified version, with the exception that you will be in FCC Mode, and you will see the battery status defined in a better way at the top right of the screen.

All other settings are down to you to set as normal.

Leave the channels as auto, fly and enjoy

Ok so set Wifi section AUTO and the modded app will optimize to give me best signal/distance, cool!

To the Devs:
Perhaps, maybe you would like my idea,
Similar to how car GPS application as "Waze" can give car "where to avoid" a drive,
how about implement into Flight6 a mod, to help Anafi drone to have "sort of"
obstacle avoidance/crash prevention, by adding trees data, towers, building, into the GPS/Map data,
and instruct through the application, to avoid those places/areas and not let drone get too close to it?

What do you think? something Anafi mod/dev community could do?

Thanks!

Apart from the fact that its not as simple as you think it is to program in obstacle avoidance, nobody is going to waste their time and effort on the Parrot Anafi....... Its a dead product, there is no further development or support from Parrot or any other third party.

It is what it is, just fly it.

If you have the skillset to complete this then crack on. If you want all these extras then strongly suggest you look at DJI

before you install the mod FF6 you need to follow this step Install first from Playstore, copy the ... \\ Android \ obb \ com.parrot.freeflight6 com folder to a safe directory, uninstall then the app. Install modded FF6, then copy back the saved folder to the ... \\ Android \ obb \ com.parrot.freeflight6

Removed the modified version of the application.

Reboot the phone/tablet
From the Google Store download and install the genuine version of the application.

Using that version purchase the two applications.

Once paid for and confirmed working on your phone/tablet:

Use File explorer application and navigate to Android->OBB->Com.Parrot.Freeflight6 and copy that whole folder to another location/memory card as you are going to need to use this with the modified app.

Next, uninstall the genuine Freeflight6 application, reboot the phone, now install the modified version of the application.

Using your file explorer, the folder you copied to another location/memory card, you now need to copy that back to
Android->OBB->

Once copied you can start up the application and all should be good.

You need to ensure that all accounts you are using on the modified version, are the same as what you used on the genuine version otherwise it wont work.

Couple of pointers:

1. I always enable Developer mode on Android, saves headaches later down the line
2. I always keep a copy of the com.parrot.freeflight6 folder in separate location on my device, acts as a backup
3. I use X-Plore when doing all this, great app that can be downloaded from Google Store.

Pixel 6 with Android 13 folder OBB is locked. Android 12 it was possible to access folder

What you need to do is to:
  1. Download Freeflight 6 from the Play Store
  2. Open the app and let it load (1-2 sec)
  3. Download a file manager like Solid Explorer and grant all permissions it asks.
  4. Go to your Internal Storage > Android > obb (it might ask for another permission, just click use this folder)
  5. You'll see a folder named "com.parrot.freeflight6" which you need to rename to something else (eg: "com.parrot.freeflight5")
  6. Then uninstall Freeflight 6
  7. Download the modded version and install it, but DO NOT START
  8. Go back to the file manager, and rename the folder to the original name, which is "com.parrot.freeflight6"
  9. Start the modded version.
Thank you. It solved the problem.

FF6_6_7_6_FCC_SE_BATTERY.apk

Good so far - a few problems, may be props or app but vibration warnings on hand launch and take off from ground.

Also the interference graph on the wifi channels is missing sometimes. I wait for it to show but certain times it never does.

Hello all' I get synchronisation failed? Have I missed a step?
The solution is there :

My interference graph in settings still doesnt show from time to time.
Did you do any work on it?

Also you should mod the wifi channel switch like anafi usa does in mid air to be able to change channels in air without having to land first.

Wish there was a way to unlock the Follow Me and Flight Plan modes with the apk mod versions.

I dont know about now as mine is unlocked, but they were only something like a £1 each, majority of us grabbed them, dont know what they are doing them at now. Parrot dropped all support for the orginal Anafi and stuck two fingers up at us. Still a fantastic device.

Yeah. My only workaround was to switch to an iOs device to be able to use those features. Bought a used iphone and the app store allowed the purchase of the features.
