Light spot in video

Hello,

maybe someone could explain me some "strange behavior" of my Anafi. When I'm filming with the sun behind the drone there is a "light spot" in the footage.
It doesn't matter if I use a ND filter or not or use normal or LOG mode.

Maybe someone can give me a solution or a hint how to avoid that. Thanks!

Had the exact same effect with the sun right behind me. What causes this „spot“ is actually the shadow of your bird. Why it appears to be bright on the other hand is something I don’t know yet. I will post a video in a few minutes showing the effect. You can clearly see the shadow of the Anafi and once the shadow gets to a certain distance it appears as a bright spot.

Update: video posted. You can clearly see its the drones shadow that causes this effect. Maybe someone else can explain this

Very good video! Thank you! But why does it do so? Maybe the refraction of the rotors?
Someone an idea?

Unsure. Is it some kind of optical illusion? Or does the light get bend somehow and focused on the spot? Don’t really think so.

Ha found it! It’s indeed an effect which even has a name: „Heiligenschein“ or „hotspot“. So basically you can’t do anything against this, but at least you know that everything is fine with your bird
