I have finally created a solution to my Anafi FPV (First Person View) needs with no increase in video lag time.
I tried using the Yuneec Skyview method but had a hard time finding a device with hdmi out for a reasonable price and when I did attempt it the hdmi added even more delay to the stream. So I ended up purchasing Eachine EV800D goggles. They are perfect because the front monitor detaches from the lens which allowed me to make a makeshift holder for my phone from some plastic I cut from a black heavy gauge plastic folder then I attached my phone using electrical tape. The bottom is left open to allow screen access to change settings and press the fly button. It works great! The delay is only as much as my phone because it is my phone.
Pictures are attached though they were before I made the notch for my USB cable that connects to the controller. Hope this helps someone out there. Definitely makes flying easier to squeeze into any tight spots you may want to shoot. I did some sweet shots through the woods that were amazing.
A cheaper alternative to the EV800D eachine goggles is the EV800 it has the same lens for just $60. I opted for the one with the DVR because I will also be using mine for other drones so it's multipurpose.
As an added bonus I've also found an app called Floating Apps by LWi s.r.o. With it I am able to open my phone camera in a floating window. I place that in the bottom corner of my screen and it allows me to also fly LOS while also flying FPV. Pretty crazy! Highly recommend it. I'll try to upload a pic with the picture in picture tomorrow if I get time.
