Hey everyone,
I have my Parrot Anahi since Friday and was testing a bit. While I took some photos I noticed that I always have black pixels on places that should normally be white, for example the sky or white houses. At first I didn’t notice them on my phone but as soon as I saw the pictures on my pc they could be seen clearly.

Is that normal for the drone camera? Or did I take the pictures wrong ?

Greetings

There's an option in the Settings: Settings > Camera > Display overexposure
If this is on, it highlights the overexposed areas on the live feed so you can adjust the exposure settings to not to have overexposed pictures. Just turn it off and see what happens.
If it's turned off, and you still have the issue, try resetting the drone by holding the Power button for 15 seconds, and you'll see red lights on the battery. After that, reconnect, and make sure, that the Display overexposure setting is still turned off, then try again.
If that doesn't fix the issue either, then unfortunately you've got a faulty drone. Send it back, and request a new one.

No, the camera should not have dead pixels and therefore it must be considered defective. You cannot make any settings on the camera to produce dead pixels. I would suggest you get your Anafi swapped under warranty.

They are not dead pixel. It’s more like a black pixel blure on white surfaces. It also changes position depending where the picture should normally be some shade of white (Clouds, house color, tablecloth)

That sure sounds like the overexposure feature! Are you sure it's not on? Settings> Camera> Display Overexposure>No

Also, to correctly reset the drone you have to wait until all LEDs are red then immediately release the button. Even a half second delay and the reset will not happen. If the drone does not go through its normal boot procedure you didn't release you finger fast enough....Don't ask me how I know this.

If it's not dead pixels, it's a little hard to guess/predict what it is. Put a picture on a post with the "defects", so we can see with your own eyes what it is ?

Swallow migration? ;) At least that is definitely not the overexposure feature. We have seen this before and the only remedy is to get a refund/exchange. It's a camera fault.

well that sucks, espically since i got the drone for 500€ on prime day

But thank you everyone :)

Defective sensor in the camera. You can get it exchanged under warranty where you bought it. Just show the pictures you uploaded here.

Regards, Leif.
