First I want to say I’m someone completely new but already on my second drone.
My brother gave this hand-me-down drone one day, it’s been sitting in the box for like a month already but when I connected it, the flights only lasted for 2 seconds average before crashing down to the ground again. When I tested it it had just over 50% battery. I don’t think it’s been in some serious accidents before or damaged (I don’t know about the previous owner).
We did manage to fly it for a dozen seconds by some throwing a few times.
