I bought a motor replacement kit

everything was going well, but I cannot get the two hinges to seat properly

they done go all the way in

I’ve watched the Parrot video, for them it goes right in and seats flush

has anyone done this replacement themselves?

Have you made sure the washers have been put in between the legs? Also you will need to manipulate the arms so the top of the hinges align that the white retaining parts fit and are able to be screwed down.

yes, I am using the spacer

also, I see what you say about alignment, as the white hinge is squareish

It seems the top arm (front facing) is very tight—I can barely insert the hing into it when trying outside of the drone

What you need to do is move the arm on the side you are trying to install the white retainer. Once that side is done then do the other. It can be slightly fiddly the first time.

Just make sure you have the white retainer aligned correctly as it is square like the white top of the hinge.
