They were not asking for the version number of Freeflight, but the version of your drone firmware.
Freeflight is not the bug, it's drone firmware and they ask because everyone wants to know which version is causing it.

Finally getting my drone replaced after an update made it crash! Took a while because of the virus situation but it’s finally coming!
