Experience. Actually this behaviour goes back to the Bebop 2.

Unfortunately Anafi doesn't Follow unless you have a GPS device, I believe Parrot could do an Active Track with no GPS but probably consider the link too fragile.

Cameraman watches the subject without Following so plays it safe without GPS.

Not yet, I’ve been doing some expensive home repairs and holding off optional purchases until the fiscal effects of the repairs are assessed.

Totally agree with your assessment of RCG mods. It seems they are using the Chinese social engineering method of rewarding or punishing the population using points. It also appears they are allowing a couple of manufacturer monkeys to run people off the site.
