Mambo to race mode

Hi all,
Quick question.....
When I program FreeFlight mini to race mode, it explains that pressing “L2” it transfers from “ normal” to “race” mode.
My understanding is when flying, hitting L2 will engage?..... when I do this nothing happens to speed or stability?
Am I missing something?

I don't remember exactly but I thought, L2 switches between Video and Sport.
This would mean same impression of drone's stability, but you can reach faster movements (in Sport mode).
The setting Normal-Drift-Racing would then be independant of L2.
But: not sure!
