New Anafi Firmware & Battery Update March 4th 2020 V1.6.5_FF6 V6.6.6

Now we just need to verify if they work well or if the birds are falling down, at 20+% battery.
Any takers?

Based on my today's test, this "battery" update did nothing to my (bad) battery S/N C8G096982. Anafi dropped down like a rock, while FF6 was showing 25% battery.

Nice flights with Flight Plan today, no real issue.

I noticed that the real flight length is 1 minute longer than in the app, 14+ vs 13+ minutes, despite low wind, also the video stops at 9 min. 20 secs, 3.91 Go (2.7K), a 2nd file with the last 5 minutes of flight recorded without loss, but that's most likely not related to the update.

Still nothing in the release notes for Anafi firmware 1.65, that installed with the datasync fixed 6.6.6 App. Anyone else worried about the app's version number and the similarity to the tattoo found on Damien?

I am hoping to test this all out today before sun down.

we're all doomed, doomed I tell you......LOL

"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six".

The coronavirus may also be to blame.
Human stupidity is invincible !!!
No.I think the new firmware has a tracking algorithm within it which will comply with the FAA tracking request and DJI now owns Parrot. They use the same customer service techniques...conspiracy theorists will agree....

You are so out of topic... this is clearly an usual Mercury retrograde issue ! maybe Pluto conjuncts Saturn a few days ago is also involved...

Has anyone had a low battery automatic RTH lately? Recently I flew a long flight plan into the wind that should have triggered it but didn't.

Flight plan, difficult! Sometimes at least.
But I think to remember that I had the =/< "in 3 minutes" RTH message, during normal flights and flight plan, in the past 2 weeks.

But that has nothing to say, I am still on old fw

If I'm connected, I still get the warning but I 'normally' fly long 3 km missions that disconnect at about 2.4 km. My flight data showed the batt below 50% before the turn around but it didn't RTH and completed the mission, thanks to that tailwind I knew about but it didn't. A while back, I used to get RTH on a flight plan. I wonder if it's just bluffing now.

I think it's good now. My theory is Parrot was trying to cook up some kind of dji like mandatory no fly zone and botched it. In a panic they reverted back to a previous version that was known to work.

I'm monitoring this thread, I have not updated my 10 batteries and 5 anafis.

I usually fly everyday but I have grounded my fleet until I can get more reassurance on the reliability of this update.
If your drones are working well (and why they wouldn't work well) then do not upgrade at all. It works fine for me and that's why I stay with firmware 1.6.3.

On that subject, how do you prevent the app from noticing an updated firmware version is available and more or less requiring you to update? With my old dedicated tablet I just left wifi turned off but I'm using my phone now and it turns on wifi by itself when it feels like it.

No idea with the batteries but you could maybes try a similar way as you do with the ananfi, press so it lights up and then press and hold for 12 seconds until all lights turn red.
I wonder whether the controller has a factory reset that would be interesting.

I just actually tested that and when you release after the 12 seconds it's does actually do a few red flashed don't know exactly what that means. Probably means I've just made one of my batteries incompatible with current firmware lol

I am on the following versions as I turned off auto updates a l-o-o-o-o-o-n-g time ago.Parrot's updates are never properly tested,so I take no chances until I see the "all clear" from Parrot Beta testers in this forum.
6.6.2 (Freeflight)
1.6.3(Anafi)
Freeflight tells me there is an update ready for the Anafi, but it allows me to fly.I like to fly.
Broke not-fix not.
