Could anyone please let me know why the distance is not being shown although it does show altitude. It does comes up but very rarely, wondering if it's an app problem as it should be simple calculation based on gps data and return to home feature does work so don't think it's gps issue.

What phone/tablet are you using and does it have an inbuilt GPS? The controller uses the devices GPS as it does not have one of it's own.
