Greetings!
I have purchased 2 ( because I though first may be faulty) Parrot Anafi from Ebay in order to learn Drone work before I purchase a more expensive Drone for my Grad thesis work. Both " seem" to work. Lights flash, etc. I have tried using controller alone, Galaxy 23 Plus and IPad. Freeflight6 installed on phone and IPad. I actually bought a new controller as well. NOTHING will get two drones to fly. Freeflight keeps saying not connected. What am I doing wrong?

I have also updated the birds by restore reboot.

I hope someone can help.

What version of FreeFlight 6 are you using?
Are you able to pair controller to Anafi?
to confirm if paired you should be able to tilt camera via controller

I had Parrot USA. Now reading reviews, no one can get it to work. I tried using a link to an old version that someone posted but it will not load on my phone - too old.

One of the drones seemed to sort of connect to drone, the other does not

FF6 USA version will not work with standard Anafi. Prior to resolving that issue let’s make sure that controllers are properly paired. See below. Let us know once pairing is resolved

Pairing ANAFI to a Parrot Skycontroller 3
This procedure is useful to pair a drone and a controller which have never been paired, and to restore the lost pairing between a drone and a controller.
Make sure that no other device is connected on ANAFI’s wi-fi network
1. Check a compatible microSD card is inserted into ANAFI.
2. Power ANAFI on.
3. Open the Parrot Skycontroller 3 to power it on.
4. Plug the drone and the controller together with an USB-A (controller) to USB-C (drone) cable.
5. The LED of the Parrot Skycontroller 3 flashes briefly in green: it is acknowledging ANAFI.
6. Wait for synchronization between Parrot Skycontroller 3 and ANAFI (steady dark blue LED on the controller): check that the left trigger of the Parrot Skycontroller 3 activates the drone’s gimbal camera tilt to ensure the synch is complete.

Thank you for your kind response. My son was able to get one of two drones working because he has an I phone and could get regular Parrot App. I deleted Parrot 6 USA from my Android but cannot find plain Parrot 6 in Galaxy store. I am working with my non cellular IPad now
I have the IPad and controller linked and Anafi on. I now seem to be stuck in blinking light blue/ Dark blue update. How long should that take?

Using my I Pad I was able to get Anafi working but the controller is still updating. Not sure what my work around should be. All else fails, can I fly with Ipad alone?

If I remember correctly it should take somewhere between 10 to 15 minutes for firmware updates.
Yes you should be able to fly with a direct WiFi connection from your device to drone without the controller. However range will be poor and WiFi connectivity lousy. It won’t be much fun. Btw you can also fly drone without a device using controller direct connection to drone. I don’t recommend this for obvious reasons other than for testing or troubleshooting.
My suggestion is to get controllers and iPad working. FYI you can pair multiple drones to a single controller or multiple controllers to a single drone. So if one of your drones or controllers are bricked you can still fly using the the working hardware.
In addition I have seen a few other forum members posts that have gotten newer android devices to work with the older FreeFlight6 app but appears to be challenging.
I would suggest getting what you have working before trying to get your newer android device to work
