For anyone that isn't aware of the dangers of overcharging LiPo batteries for our drones, this will make a believer of you!!!!

I'm not going to be charging my batteries from my laptop on my office desk anymore even though the risk from a 2 amp USB cable is minimal compared to what they used.

The chance of you are crash driving in your car is much larger than you are going to make Li-Po smoke with Anafis small batteries. Suppose you are also stop driving now. ;)

Well, I was involved in a horrendous crash a year ago, destroying my truck, camper, and motorcycle and very nearly killing me. Maybe I should stop driving! Wasn't my fault, though.

Dont know about that...a small match will start a huge fire. I prefer to gamble with lottery tickets.
Thanks for the reminder Rocky the FS.
Anyone who has ever experienced a catastrophic lipo incident will tell you to NEVER charge a lipo unattended and to ALWAYS store them in a lipo approved bag or other such container.I charge mine in a decommissioned toaster oven(the charger fits inside as well)I store mine in a crock pot with a locking lid.$5.00 at a garage sale beats a house burning to the ground.

If you research these youtube videos the more experienced people will tell you these guys have gone to the extreme side to make the lipo look like it is a fire ball from hell. It takes a lot to even get them to smoke as long as some do in the videos. Shot it with a gun and it will catch on fire yes. It takes a nick in the side to expose it to air to get to the point these videos are trying to show you. Lipo batteries are not as bad as these videos make them seem.
Use common sense and you will be fine.

That is precisely the problem....common sense is in really short supply among those under 60 in the 21st Century.
Watch this at 0.51!

I didn't mean to imply that this sort of inferno is likely with our small batteries and our USB chargers, just that if mistreated, LiPo's have a possibility to do this. There are videos of little 3.75v mini drone batteries acting like roman candles gone haywire!

Like I said in my post you really need to do something extreme to make them explode into a fire ball like in those videos. Just like this.........kill it first before it turns on you LOL :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Some idiot is going to see that and start a forest fire....you heard it here first! We lost 29,000 acres of range land here last summer due to an idiot shooting exploding targets, which is the same thing.

Well you cannot stop idiots from doing strange things and they do not need Lipo batteries to be a member of the idiot gang. The world I am afraid is full of them.
