Freeflight 6 mod app

I have modded the latest FF6 6.6.6 if it is of any use to others.

FF6_6.6.6_FCC_MENU.apk
Sorry, if I come from an old fw version, what is the exact procedure for have latest fw and FCC? I knew with latest fw as the bird gps see its located in europe it will force CE and there's no way to get out. Now I sold mine and I'm looking for an old fw version to purchase but I want to be sure

Hi all, starting situation

Position Switzerland

WiFi Settings -> FCC OK CH44
Rooted S7 Phone No SIM Card

And now Long text ....

  • Set Phone in Fly Mode
  • WiFi ON
  • Alluminium over Anafi (for sure no GPS reception ;)o_O)
  • Fake GPS set in USA Kansas
  • Test GPS Position with FF6 download MAP -> USA OK
  • Update FF6 6.6.2.203 mod selectable -> FF6_6.6.6_FCC_MENU
  • Start FF6 and show me to update Controller FW
  • Controller Update 1.6.2 -> 1.6.3
  • Test WiFi Settings -> FCC OK CH44
  • Anafi Update 1.6.3 -> 1.6.5 (finger crossed:oops:)
  • Test WiFi Settings -> FCC OK CH44 :D
  • Battery FW Update -> OK
  • Test WiFi Settings -> FCC OK CH44 :D
  • Power OFF Anafi / Controller / FF6 -> Power ON
  • Fake GPS OFF
  • Removed Anafi Alluminium cover
  • Test GPS Position with FF6 download MAP -> Switzerland
  • Test WiFi Settings -> FCC OK CH44 :D
  • Fly Mode OFF All normal condition
  • Power OFF all again and Power ON
  • Outdoor GPS Position OK 9 Satellites and GPS position OK Switzerland
  • Test WiFi Settings -> FCC OK CH44 :p
Later will try connect with non rooted phone and FF6 6.6.6_FCC_MENU

Happy until now :ROFLMAO:

More luck than myself, since the last update I have been locked into CE mode. No matter what I have tried it will not activate FCC mode.

Just done the new update and battery update, and still the same.... CE channels only 1 - 11 and 149, 153, 157, 161, 165

I have just resigned myself to the fact that I am not going to be able to get FCC.

I was also given the opportunity to install AR.PRO 4 (Beta), which has many other tweak options. That seems to think I am in FRANCE, which is what I believe the 1.64 firmware locked me to :( Maybe time to get rid and move back to my MP

FF6 6.6.6 FCC and MENU mod.

FF6_6.6.6_FCC_MENU.apk
Another thread mentioned that Parrot fixed an OBB download request bug and added a new version to the play store.
(This version enhances the battery level management and fixes the data synchronisation issue caused by previous version. )
Would you like to make the new version for FCC?

Is channel 44 better than 165 for range
Good question ... it depends if Parrot look where you are for WiFi power settings .... maybe ... :unsure:

Wikipedia WLAN

and

WiFi Power !

According this page ....

FCC :
CH 44 -> is U-NII-1 -> Power 50mW (but EIRP 200mW)
CH 165 -> is U-NII-3 -> Power 1000mW (1W) !!! (but EIRP 200mW)

Normaly more power = more distance !

But IF PARROT looks where I am (Switzerland) then CH 165 is only 25mW :eek:

I have a Spektrum Analyzer that cover only to 3GHz .... can't measure it :(

Maybe I'm wrong ...

The question is how they chose FCC or not in FF6 :unsure: and how we can measure it !

I think that this is a good test to find out if Channel 165 send with 25mW or 1000mW compared to Channel 44 with 50mW ! :)

Try to delete the obb file i think fix this. I downloaded ff6 6.6.6 modded fcc then download obb file and not require to be connected with wifi or mobile data to open app again. Now i m on 1.62 controller and 1.6.3 anafi i wait some days or week and do upgrade with fakegps active and channel 44 selected manually.

You see all fcc only channels 36 to 48?

You see all fcc only channels selectable in the wifi list 36 to 48? with last firmware 1.63 controller and 1.65 anafi?
I see Channels 1 to 11 / 36 to 48 / 149 to 165 with all updated and FF6 6.6.6 mod
