Cannot be 100% sure on that, I have not done the upgrade yet as I dont have access to my Anafi. But the VP I was talking to at Parrot indicated that the new firmware is effectively 1.6.3 with some new elements, and the stability, etc should be back.

Also stated that its never been Parrot's policy to lock down the Anafi. Hopefully someone will come along to confirm whether the height restrictions have been removed.

Personally I stick to the limits, its hard enough to see at 50m let alone anything else

start condition: FF6_6.6.6.204_FCC fw 1.6.5 FCC active .
I install new ds2atc apk and then update fw from 1.6.5 to 1.6.8.

I am updating everything with the mod app.
1. Controller
Updated with no errors

2. Drone
1st try : update failed(nothing changed after reboot)
2nd try : update succeeded. now 1.6.8

3. Battery
It asked me to upgrade the battery and no errors

My Anafi has found the FCC channels AGAIN!! (in Europe )
I was stupid enough to upgrade to the latest version and firmware via the official app, so after it I installed the modded app, I couldn't find any changes at the channel numbers.

Second try: I uninstalled and installed again the modded app, BUT:
while it did the synchronization during the first start (through my home WiFi) the FakeGPS was ACTIVATED with a USA-location.
(Be sure the Parrot obb folder gone before installing the modded app!)

Now I got the FCC-specific channels again!!!
Rainy and windy here presently, but I will do a range test later. I hope, the height limit will be still open

All updates have been installed successfully, FCC channels are available, but my Skycontroller now doesn't connect to the drone.
