Hello Dave,Buy a cheap android device....![]()
Thank you Dave,Open Wi-Fi s are not so open as you think. a lot of ports are blocked.
Try it again, maybe with your Wi-Fi at home, where no rules are blocked your request.
Thank you d95gas,As Dave has pointed out, these public WiFi areas have a tendency to block a lot of stuff, ie downloads in particular, as everyone would be filling their boots with porn or dodgy software, at McDonald s expense
Home WiFi is definitely better, but if its painfully slow the download of the additional file that FF6 gets (including the modded version), may struggle.
Once you install the application, Freeflight 6 will download an "obb" file, dont quote me, but I think that file on its own is over 100Mb.
Are you friendly with a good neighbour who has a good internet connection, who might let you hook up and do the sync?
Really hope you get it sorted, and get flying.![]()
No, there is only the modded Android FF6 app.Hello Anafi users,
Is it possible to upload the modded app to an iPhone? Is there a modded iPhone app? All I’m seeing is a modded Android app.
Since my iPhone is connected to an internet provider, would be easier for me go with the iPhone.
Appreciate the help,
Paul
Thank you Dirk,No, there is only the modded Android FF6 app.
If you want to use FCC mode on iOS you have to use fake GPS like described in this thread:
Fake GPS Tutorial
I have tried to gather working options for Fake GPS from the forums posts. If you guys have anything to add or remove please let me know so I can update it. If you are having troubles with Fake GPS please start a separate thread of the problem. To get the fastest answer and possible solution do...parrotpilots.com
Yes, the Anafi has a good potential!Thank you Dirk,
Appreciate the information and you posting the video, I’ll go over the video on my iPad later in the day it’s faster than my iPhone.
Already the Anafi by itself, with no mods is a good drone. But, I’m always looking for ways to enhance video feed in areas with inference or distance.
Been flying the Bebop 2 with Solaris mods for a while and it’s a great 2 mile drone with the boosted mod, has terrific reception even at low level. The Anafi has great potential, I’d like to enhance video feed when it’s out there far beyond its standard range or in areas with a lot of inference.
And if this Anafi modded app works, great but it I can’t get the modded app to work properly that’s ok too. At least I tried, my current Anafi controller setup is good has another antenna setup which does enhance reception.
Thanks again for the help, I’ll eventually learn and understand more in the future using the Anafi. The Anafi is a nice addition to my modded Bebop 2 and Mavic 2 Pro.
All the best,
Paul
Hello Dirk?Yes, the Anafi has a good potential!
Solaris also made a booster kit for Anafi:
Hello Dirk,Thanks Paul,
do you plan to show us a test here about this booster kit (mounting, experience)?
I would be very interested...![]()

Thks for your big contribution for many of us.I was able to modify autopilot.cfg's altitude value I mentioned above, but it was reset to 150 whenever I changed the max altitude value on freeflight6.
So, my conclusion is that it is impossible to change the drone's max altitude range before Parrot discloses Anafi's firmware sources.
Before giving up the things, something popped up in my mind, and I tried that...
and it was success.
Here's the easiest workaround for flying beyond the max altitude limit.
FF6_6.5.1_FCC&ALT_MOD.apk
drive.google.com
I modified groundsdk's geofence code, and the max altitude range value will be always 0.5~500 with this mod.
Just go to Touch&fly, set a position, select start, and use the slide to change the altitude.
I tested this only with the virtual environment, which is Sphinx, and RTH worked properly.
but I am not sure with the physical drone... so test yours before go up higher.
and maximum altitude range is set to 500. I don't think you will need higher than that.
When you download the original app from Play Store, it downloads an obb file, which contains firmware files of your drone and controller, during installation. However if you install an apk file outside Play Store, the app will download the obb file from somewhere in the initial startup, and Parrot used the word "synchronization" for this progress.Hello Dave,
Hopefully you or others can help me, I’m trying to upload this modded app. My iPad and iPhone won’t upload the app correctly.
About the closest I’ve got is using an android phone with no internet provider, uploaded the modded app using McDonald’s WiFi, the app symbol shows on the cell phone, when I press it starts to open app goes through the opening app process then stops showing (Synchronization failed. Check your Internet connection). With a Settings button to press, press this settings button then it says (See available networks, turn on WiFi.)
Does the phone need a internet provider for this app to open? I’d like to try this modded app, sounds like a range improvement which I would like to use.
Appreciate the help,
Paul

Did you ever figure it out ?If you look at my first post #288 I attached a screen shot of what it says. I am logged into the google store. I wish it was something that simple
